Trainer W.J. Bougoure
Very smart sprinter of the late 1930s he cost owner R.A. Young just 80 guineas as a yearling. He developed from a handy performer to a star in his five-year-old year when he won the 1939 Warwick Newmarket, TTC Weetwood Handicap, Stradbroke Handicap and QTC Epson Handicap in the one season. He also ran second in the 1938 Doomben Newmarket (10,000) as well as second in the 1940 Stradbroke. Bahwing had a great association with jockey Bill Briscoe.
