Trainer C.E. Doyle
An unusual horse in that he started in hack races around the Darling Downs before trainer Con Doyle got him to win the 1948 QTC Toorak Handicap and Stradbroke Handicap. In both he was ridden by an apprentice Whopper Stephens who later became a Brisbane racing legend. Ballyvista raced in the Brisbane area until seven, winning two more races, but then went bush winning another 20 races at ages eight to 11 around bush tracks all over country NSW and Queensland.
