One of Queensland's best from the 1880's he won major events in Queensland, Sydney and Melbourne beating such notable horses as Commotion, Navigator and Martini-Henry.
Unfortunately, he died when in his prime after fracturing his spine during track work when in training with W.S. Hickenbotham in Victoria.
