Usually considered the best of top sire Pandour’s off spring he was known for his versatility and toughness. He won a Doomben Flying at 50-1 over 1110m but contested Group 1 races ranging from the Cox Plate to Derbies to the Brisbane Cups over staying trips. He is also notable for winning Labour Day Cups four years apart in 1976 and 1980. Among his 15 open company wins were the STC Tancred Stakes (now the BMW) and the GCTC Prime Minister’s Cup.
