Originally from Wyong in NSW, Alan Bailey is well and truly regarded as a great Queensland mentor. Since moving to the Gold Coast in the early 1980s he has trained the winners of well over 1500 races.

Regarded as a master conditioner he has the knack of getting horses to win consecutive races by holding their form. He holds the equal record for most wins in a day on a Brisbane metropolitan track with five. His son Trevor is also an experienced international trainer who moved back to the Gold Coast. Alan Bailey
